I have lived in the western suburbs of Adelaide for over 30 years. I am a retired Admin Officer, and very much an amateur in Arts and crafts. After attending a workshop in 2023, I painted the stobie pole in front of my house. I volunteered to be part of the Cheltenham Cemetery stobie pole project.
The inspiration for the Anzacs pole is to remember the service people who served in the 1st and second World Wars, for those who returned and those who did not.
The flowers pole was painted for the flowers placed on gravesites, marking anniversaries of those passed. Tulips, lilies, forget me nots and violets.
